Who created the first muffuletta is a matter of dispute, but the name refers to the shape of the bread. Italian bakers made muffuletta loaves filled with layers of salami, ham, cheese, and olive salad, and sold them to Italian delis. |  Come For Our CocktailsIn addition to fine dining, New Orleans also invented the cocktail!
