"One of my favorites places to go and hang out, the staff is amazing, great food and those hurricanes can sure set the mood. Check them out. Order your food with time, don't expect Applebee's speed, here they make your dish completely handcraft, cooked FRESH, not even the cilantro garnish is cut until before it hits the plate. Be patient waiting, it'll be worth it. After all, you can't rush good food."

"Very personable staff. Owners came to our table multiple times to chat and show genuine interest on top of the waitstaff that assisted us. The drinks were strong and very tasty!! The quesadilla and jambalaya was amazing!! We just returned from New Orleans and the food is as good or better!! The owner was kind enough to comp us with some desert. If you're looking for a new, authentic and fun personable place to go and annoyed with the usual chain restaurants... Go to NOLA!"

" I haven't had this good of Cajun food since I was at school in Natchitoches, and New Orleans. The beer choices were exceptional, and the service was great and friendly. The food takes a little time because everything is made fresh to order but that was not a big deal, and actually much appreciated. Beats having something just reheated. The new management has gone though great strides to make this one of the better places around. Overall, I have to say that this is one of my favorite places in the metro. "Just returned home from a wonderful meal at Nola's with 9 members of my family. The food was fantastic! Yes, it is a small place, but that is part of its charm. The staff was so welcoming! If you are looking for a nice place to eat, make sure you visit this gem. I told my husband this would be a great date night, dinner at Nola's and a play at Yellow Tree Theatre all in our little town of Osseo. Or if you are looking for a spot to have a cocktail with some wonderful Jazz music in the background, this is your place. We all hope to return soon! We highly recommend it."

"Let me start off by saying that I've enjoyed living/traveling abroad and have experienced some of the BEST foods in little, hole-in-the-wall places similar to that of Nola Bistro.
Down in the French Quarter of New Orleans is in the top 3 of my favorite places to experience food/culture. When I found NOLA via a google search, I was skeptically excited …
I was NOT let down by the food, nor the service, nor the ambiance!!!! Favorite part -- The nice hideaway towards the back took me back to the small bars/music joints down in New Orleans with the black walls and red lamps! The owners came out and spiced up my Jambalaya per my request. The Hurricane was a lovely potion …and the music: live, New Orleans jazz!
I'd say they did a hell of a job bringing in some diversity to this, otherwise very Minnesotan, part of the cities.
From my experiences with the owners and how engaged they were with their customers, I'd say you give them a shot if you haven't yet, and if you have previously, give them another shot!
This is my first review of ANY place in MN, and hope this actually helps the person(s) looking for a good place to spend your time and money on an evening with friends and loved ones! Good luck & Enjoy!"

The atmosphere was enjoyable and they have an Full Bar! Please do not be fooled by the negative reviews- I would recommend this place anytime. I will be coming back."

"So this opened a little while back, with only weekend hours, it took me time to get there. In that time I guess it transferred into new ownership. I must say this is THE best place I have been all year and it certainly is in my top 5 ever. They have a modest menu, but everything I tasted was superb! The depth of taste in my Catfish Étouffée was outstanding. (I teased my table mate that the flavors danced in my mouth like the Jazz danced in the air). It was obvious that time, love, and skill was put into this dish! I also sampled my partners bourbon burger, very tasty. The proprietor also brought me a sample plate from the Indian menu and the flavor was again amazing. I have never liked eggplant and the eggplant dish tasted like a dessert. The area is small; it has one side for New Orleans style food and one side for Indian style food. The decor is very class and yet cozy. They also house and sell locally packed spices and do a once a month Jazz event. I will be going back soon and will be bringing my mom for a belated Mother's Day."
